Robots! Robots are future humans for some, blood thirsty Terminators for others. Robots are everywhere, in your phone or the internet or maybe in your body (Referring to Robotic organs). Robots might be terrifying, useful or the future but Do They Deserve Rights?

So, My opinion on robots rights is that “Why? Just Why? Make something that you can’t control, No offense but All of these scientist trying make AI that can surpass human intelligence is bull crap” but apparently my opinions don’t matter as Countries (By Countries I mean Saudi Arabia) have already began giving robots rights. So, I think We all should be like

Why did I just do that? Oh God! That was good. Yeah, So the UN. Surely from their perch among the Gods they will have a disinterested view of the Countries below. What do you have to say about Robots, UN? Three Laws of Robotics”:

“1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.”

Wait that's it? What about unplugging a robot? Is it murder? What about opening the robot’s circuit? Is it a privacy infringement? These questions are complicated. I don’t like to think that there is something that we made which has grown beyond us and out of our control. Some people predict that by 2050 we’ll have AI that is more intelligent then Humans and I am like

Not, In my Lifetime!”. Another thing is that it is cruel to kick a cat but is it cruel to kick a robot? This is quite interesting as I think harming everything with feelings is cruel but we already have some robots that can feel. So, I think it’s a very split issue. I think the best way robots can live among humans is very well shown in the Star Wars Universe. The droids in Star Wars live happily among humans. I think robot should be treated the same way we treat our pets.

They are a member of our family and we should love them the same way we love our pets. I know my idea has flaws but it’s the best guess I’ve got. Anyways, Let me know your opinions in the comments! I would love to see.

Note- This is my opinion on this topic. I am only writing what I think

Thanks For reading.
